Korean BBQ Sauce
My sauce uses much more sesame oil that the recipes I saw elsewhere. I think it helps this sauce have a really savory quality that makes it amazing on almost anything. I know people are avoiding oil these days so you can definitely cut back on it. There’s also a good amount of sugar in this recipe. The sugar level can totally be adjusted to taste or for whatever other reasons you may be cutting back. All that being said, I don’t eat this sauce and I often use it on veggies and in bulk recipes. My thought is if this makes me eat a pile of whatever vegetable I put it on I can survive the sugar and oil 🙂 Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
1/2 cup toasted sesame oil 1/4 cup aminos (or soy sauce) 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar 1/4-1/2 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar or maple syrup) 2 cloves of garlic (crushed) 2 tbsps minced ginger 1 tbsp korean chili flakes (or hot chili oil or just plain chili flakes)
Simply combine all of the ingredients. Then pour it on some veggies and bake them. Use it to braise something. Marinate things with it. Reduce it on your stove top and pour it on your salad.
Hope you Enjoy!
