Sage and Chive Dumplings
So these were super amazing and follow a pretty nice 1-1-1 ratio of almond flour, cassava flour and your liquid. I️ added some sage to reinforce that wintry vibe and they were amazing!
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup cassava flour
- 1 cup plant based milk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- 2 tsp salt
1. Combine dry ingredients and slowly whisk in whatever milk you are using.
2. Use your hands to form about 24 dumplings.
3. Add the dumplings to you soup and allow around five minutes for them to steam through
***Note- This is best done in a wide pan like a high walled skillet. Also, I️ don’t mind if my dumplings are rustic looking so I️ tend to add more liquid and slowly glop (official word use here) the batter into my soup. You have to be careful because once these rise to the top they are done and you need to remove them and put them in a separate container if you plan to store the soup.***
